Es Torrent, has created a unique ambience next to the sea, sitting in a remote and quiet cove, in the middle of the beautiful bay of Porroig. It began as a simple wooden stall in 1984 and has become one of the most prestigious restaurants on the island.
Despite its casual location, the chefs of Es Torrent mean serious food business with an all-day menu that begins with tapas portions of grilled octopus, marinated tuna, melon ham and calamari cooked to order. Main course includes a few selections of lamb and chicken but mostly seafood specialties like a mixed fish grill, noodle paella with daily catch, black rice and lobster dishes that include stew and grilled options. A lengthy wine list offers mostly Spanish selections as well as sangria and magnum of champagne and sparkling wines. A must for every itinerary.
