In November 2019 Es Tragón became the first restaurant in Ibiza to be awarded a Michelin Star. Located in a country house surrounded by a pine forest that overlooks the Mediterranean, the setting creates an oasis of tranquillity where nature sets the pace, so that nothing can cloud the pleasure offered by while enjoying this wonderful restaurant.

Head chef Álvaro Sanz began his apprenticeship in the kitchen aged 15 under the tutelage of another Michelin starred chef, Salvador Gallego. His gastronomic education saw him travel the world before he finally arrived in Ibiza and fell in love. It is here that he met Antonio Gallart, a hotel entrepreneur with a long history on the small Balearic island. Together they embarked on an adventure with the clear objective of creating and offering a new gastronomic space based on excellence, working with passion and determination to improve every day.

The restaurant, located on the Cap Negret de Sant Antoni road is rooted in tradition, creating explosive bites by applying innovative techniques with care and respect for the ingredients.
Diners enjoy Mediterranean cuisine with a creative flair and personal touch, alongside reworked traditional recipes with a story behind each dish. The appetisers are particularly impressive.The innovative spirit of flavours, textures and presentation conquered the critics and will delight all that have the pleasure to dine here.

The restaurant is currently closed, as they finished the season in mid-October. They will reopen their doors in April 2021 and surely with the expectations they have created they will not lack reservations.
